I’ve never been the greatest at getting up in the morning. I’m a bit better now that I’m older and have to pay those bills. Being homeschooled my whole childhood was great…but I never had a great schedule. When I was younger I never thought much of it. I could get all my schoolwork done in the middle of the day or the evening, as long as I got it done sooner or later I was golden. Unfortunately this gave me ​terrible sleep habits. Those habits definitely haunt me to this day, even holding different jobs. I never really became a morning person if I didn’t have to be. On the days when I have to be somewhere early I like to give myself extra time to get ready. Unfortunately, being the heavy sleeper that I am…I might sleep through my alarm sometimes…or a lot of times. I’m not normally late because of this, but I definitely don’t have as much time to get ready as I hoped. So I have always needed something that is quick and easy to throw in my hair and run out the door.

Another problem I have is the fact that when I take a shower it takes forever for my hair to dry. This is just the way of the world when you have this hair like I do. So I normally take a shower before bed. That way, it’s nearly dry when I wake up. If I let it air dry through the day it gets uncontrollably frizzy and I usually end up twisting it up into a bun. But sometimes you just want you hair down!

So after some thought and research, I think I found a fantastic solution for my “on the go look.” A sea salt spray! This is perfect because I need something I can spritz into my hair while it’s still damp. I haven’t used one yet, but after looking into some I think I might cave and buy one to see if it helps. This might help for anyone with really straight hair.

Type of Hair: This is good for any type of hair! Although I have definitely noticed that ladies with thin hair like it the best. They need extra volume and texture to help keep their hair from appearing flat and lifeless. But really anyone can use this. That’s right, even the boys. If they want to style their hair without some crunchy gel or greasy product, this could be a great alternative!

Multiple Hair Benefits: Sea salt is a fantastic natural product. For one thing, it has antibacterial properties and is great for skin. But for hair, it is a great way to use a product to get a certain look, without loading up on the chemical products. This is 100% organic after all!

Long Term Side Effects: If you use this constantly you might find your hair feels pretty dry. This can easily be avoided by using this for occasional use instead of on a daily basis. That’s something you’re going to run into a lot with these sprays. This particular one actually has aloe added to help prevent that from happening. It is still inevitable with constant use though!

Who Should Buy This Product

If you’re anything like me and really need a quick on the go product this could be a great choice for you! This probably wouldn’t be the product I would use all the time. Just because I already tend to have dry hair. But I definitely would love to have it on hand just for those days I want and easy look! Plus, who doesn’t want a cute summer hairstyle?

This is also a great product for anyone who loves organic products! I know this is a really important factor for certain people. Sometimes people have allergies and they have to stay away from chemical heavy items. Or maybe you just lead a more natural lifestyle. Either way this could be an awesome option!

Who Shouldn’t Buy This Product

Like I said above, I wouldn’t use this every day. I get dry hair after washing my hair on a daily basis. So I definitely would have to be more careful. I also don’t believe this is good for all hair types. If you have straight, curly or wavy hair this could be your new best friend. But it’s obviously not going to have the same effect on type 4 hair, or “kinky hair.” This type of hair is beautiful, fine and delicate, but not really meant for beach waves. No matter what product you use.

This is a wonderful natural product. It comes in a 6 ounce bottle and a little bit goes a long way. It’s a great item to have on hand if you have a really fast paced life, or even if you’re trying to make a style go even further. It is very easy to use because you can just spray it in your hair right after a shower and let it dry naturally. Not hot irons needed! This is a much less damaging product than some alternatives that try for the same look. It has great hold and keeps your hair from either falling flat or puffing up in the humidity! Harvey Princes sea salt spray is by far one of the most straightforward products out there!

In this section I want to outline some of the best things about this product. I am such a list person and that includes all those minor details. It’s important to know the best and worst things about something you’re going to put into you hair! Especially because your hair is a great tool to be used to express yourself and your style. I like to do my best and take care of it!

  • I don’t know how your hair is with humidity, but mine is an absolute beast. This product fights the humidity and keeps your hair looking great!

This seems to be a really well loved product. However, it is not very widely known. I think this has to do with the fact that sea salt sprays are all the rage right now. For good reason. But this leads to a lot of different products. Unless a brand that is already well known comes out with a product, it is hard to make a name for yourself with something like this.

Overall, people really enjoyed this product. There were a lot of reviews I saw where people said they got a sample item in their Birchbox subscription and totally fell in love. If there’s any way to make a name for a fledgling product, it is definitely to put it in a beauty subscription box. There were so many who ended up buying the full sized product afterwards because they loved the little sample!

Now it’s time for some alternative products! As I’ve mentioned before, I think it’s important to have options. This product might not be the right one for you merely because it’s too expensive or you want something a little different. I totally understand and I’m here to point you in the right direction!

I wanted to start out these alternative products with the least expensive. This is much more affordable and used in a lot of salons. It says on Amazon that it is a texturizing spray and there weren’t many more details about the product. I wandered through the interweb until I got some promising reviews! This product is great for adding some volume, texture and has plenty of hold. It is a slightly larger bottle and considering a little bit goes a long way, this could mean a lot more uses for a much lower price. It is not natural like the Harvey Prince product.

Who Should Buy This Spray

If you want to test out some sea salt sprays to see how they work in your hair, this could be a great option. It is more affordable which is a huge plus for me! This is meant for wavy and curly hair types. But if you have thin hair and need some more volume, this could give you the look you’re going for!

This is a fantastic alternative. It isn’t quite as affordable as the Aquage, but it is still less than half the price of Harvey Princes sea salt spray! It comes with a boatload of benefits too. This product is supposed to be naturally moisturizing and conditioning, as well as thickening and volumizing. It will give you those same gorgeous waves with the same minimal effort. It is also free of harsh chemicals and is 100% cruelty free. Last but not least it will protect your hair color, prevent sun damage and battles the dryness that is common with these sprays!

Who Should Buy This Spray

If you want a hair styling  spray that is cruelty free without the harsh price tag, this could be your stop! This will create the same beach waves we all know we want at one time or another. I also think I would consider spray personally because I really need something that will combat any drying effect the sea salt might have on my hair!

It certainly doesn’t seem very widely known, but it did seem well loved by those who did know it. It guarantees 24 hour humidity resistant hold. This is a tall order if you have hair like mine. It just loves to frizz out on me, even with no humidity to provoke it!

Who Would Buy This Spray

This is another item that is a bit cheaper. The thing that peaks my interest the most about this spray is the promise to fight humidity for a full 24 hours. I could have really used that when I went of vacation to Florida, and I might keep it in mind for my next trip!

If this product manages to make a name for itself, I think a lot of people will really come to love it. It beats out some competitors because it is natural. I do think that there is going to be some hesitation in buying this for the price. Personally, since I’ve never used one before I would probably start smaller and test sea salt spray that is more affordable. Frugal should be my middle name, because this goes for a lot of products. I’m just not willing to lay down the cash unless the product works wonders. Even when people claim it does, I’d rather find a way to try it first before buying it. That’s mainly because products work so differently for different hair types.

If you already know that sea salt spray is something that works well for you, or want to try a good quality spray, this could be great for you and completely worth the price. It isn’t like the price is that outrageous at all. Definitely not to anyone who will do anything to tame their hair. Since this is a natural product, it would be hard to make it any cheaper anyway. It is great quality, gives great hold, smells awesome and creates such a beautiful summer look. Beach waves are something my hair only seems to do with some type of product. I have all the wave naturally, but it tends to frizz out while it is down. I would need something like this if I wanted to get the right look. I also love the fact that there is the added ingredient of aloe to fight against the drying factor of this product.
