I am so much busier in the summertime than I am during the winter months. I’m sure this is probably the same for most people. There is just so much more to do. You can take beach vacations, plant gardens, take hikes or have picnics or just spend more time outdoors altogether. Because of this I have always been in the habit of throwing my hair up in a ponytail or a bun. Otherwise I have a hard time controlling it. The biggest issue I have is when it gets really frizzy in the humidity. I’ve learned how to put it up in braids and different updos too. But it would be nice to be able to keep it down without needing to constantly heat style it!

I love to straighten my hair or using my curling wand on occasion. But that can be pretty brutal for your hair, even when using a heat protectant. It’s also extremely time consuming with my long thick hair. It holds a curl fairly easily, but only if I crank the styling wand all the way up to its highest setting of 410°F. It definitely takes a bit of a toll on my hair after a while.

So before the summer rolls around this year, I want to try out a much simpler style that won’t take as much time or do as much damage. Since I’ve been working on our list of the 10 Best Sea Salt Spray Products of 2018 I realized that this could be the perfect solution! The only thing is that I need to figure out which sprays I want to try myself. The next one our list really interests me, it’s called Artnaturals Sea Salt Spray. To start out, I always like to let you know about what this product is good for. There are a lot of different features we will get into later on in the review. Starting out, this is more of the individual things this spray can be used for, how to use it and some benefits you can expect. I like to do this with different products because all of them can be so different. This helps you know what to expect.

What Look is Created: So this is good for the same things as any other sea salt spray. It adds volume, texture and body. It will maintain those gorgeous curls you might have naturally have. In my case, it will manage my natural waves and separate them into beachy waves and a more carefree look.

How to Use: This sounds like it is a little bit trickier to use than the other sea salt sprays I have reviewed so far. It is apparently a bit thicker and harder to apply. If you use too much it will make your hair heavy, greasy or crunch. But if you get it right it has great hold, makes your hair soft and adds wonderful texture. If you use too little, it hardly has any hold. While it may recommend that you use it on damp or dry hair, a lot of reviews recommended that you only use it on dry hair. Apparently this makes it much easier to judge how much product you’re going to need to use.

Type of Hair: This sea salt spray can be used on any type of hair! Men can use it, as well as women. It’s a great product to use and add texture to a masculine haircut. Whether that is a short style or even a longer style like my husband.

Multiple Hair Benefits: For women it will add great waves, enhance and control your natural style and is so simple to use. It is made with coconut oil and castor oil. This will no doubt help control any dryness that the sea salt might inflict on your hair.

Long Term Side Effects: The main issue with sea salt sprays is the fact that they can make your hair dry over time. This is typically only something that happens if you use this regularly. If not you really only have to worry about the short term effects it might have. Such as making your hair greasy, crunchy or even sticky. Although I definitely think that this will all depend on how you use the product and what your hair is like.

Who Should Buy This Product

If you are looking for an affordable and simple product this would be great for you. This also seems to be a thicker sea salt spray than a lot of others. It’s almost more of the consistency of a creamy conditioner. Some people liked this better because it gave them more control over the product. It all depends what kind of product you like to use. It is really easy to use just like any other and it will give you some beautiful soft waves that fall in a tastefully messy sort of way. It looks easy and carefree!

Who Shouldn’t Buy This Product

Like I said, this is a thicker spray than a lot of people expect. In a lot of instances they aren’t pleased with a consistency. There are a lot of people who thought it was just too heavy and oily to make a good sea salt spray. It also can give you the same sort of wet looking finish that you might get with a mousse, which isn’t always something you’re going for with a sea salt spray. This can all be worked around if you play around with it and learn to use it properly. Artnaturals Sea Salt Spray

Artnaturals comes in a 7.5oz bottle for a good price. It can be used on both men and women. It can be used to add texture, volume and body. It is made with a few key ingredients of coconut oil, castor oil and sea salt. Although it is not a natural product, it was cleared as a cruelty free product by Peta.

This works on both wet and dry hair and has a thicker consistency than most. It will leave your hair feeling soft and has a delicate smell of coconut. It actually was preferred over using a styling mousse. If you use the right amount of this product, your hair will end up feeling much softer. It won’t have the same wet or crunchy look or feel you might get with a mousse. As long as you don’t have a heavy hand with the product!

Here I would like to list the perks to this product. Since this is a bit different from a lot of the other sea salt sprays. This will help you know what you’re going to find with this product. It is thicker and will definitely make your hair feel a bit different, but it is still a great product. You might actually prefer this over some of the others. You never know. it might work better for your type of hair!

  • There are two different types of oils in this product. While that could make your hair feel greasy, it’s actually just a matter of learning how much to use. This also might make your hair feel heavy. I know this might not be what everyone is looking for but it can actually be really helpful. I have some difficult hair to work with. Keeping it long helps because I need the weight of my long hair to keep it from getting really frizzy. This might actually give me the opportunity to cut my hair shorter and still being able to style it!

  • Sea salt spray can vary on how well it holds. But everyone had good things to say about the fact that this spray has strong hold.

I think I got the best perspective on this product from what people said about it on the internet. It is a bit of a difficult product to use for anyone who was expecting a typical sea salt spray. On average, a normal sea salt spray has a watery consistency. It goes on more like a hairspray.
