Get Baby Soft Feet In No Time With These Easy Methods

September 24, 2018 by Cheyenne Malave

When it comes to beauty, most people usually focus on their hair, skin, and fingernails. But when it comes to a beauty routine, you have to take care of your whole body. So you will need to come up with an effective routine from your head to your toes. It’s especially important to take care of the skin on your whole body, but most people focus on their faces. I can understand because I usually do the same thing. Sometimes I feel like I’m wasting time when I sit there and pamper myself. But that isn’t the case at all. It might seem like I’m giving myself a spa day, but in reality, I’m taking care of myself in all the right ways. One area I have been neglecting is my feet. I do not have soft feet. They are dry, rough, and calloused.

Having rough feet is something I’ve always been used to. I ran around barefoot as a child and still do to this day. So it’s pretty safe to expect my skin to be tough and not always pretty to look at. Recently I have been more interested in focusing on different areas of my body and trying new things. There are a lot of home remedies for soft feet that are simple and won’t take up much extra time! I want to tell you all about why exfoliation is a crucial step to getting soft feet. As well as different foot masks, moisturizers, and chemical peels you could try out at home. If you follow some of these routines you will have baby soft feet before you know it!

Exfoliation: How, Why, and What to Use

I have never in my life exfoliated my feet. The chances are, you haven’t either. Luckily, there isn’t anything to it. But there are a few things you are going to need. If you want to learn how to remove callouses from your feet, there is a particular process you should follow. Exfoliation is a huge part of it because removing dead skin from feet.

First of all, you need to get a pumice stone. The stones come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes so you should be able to find something that works best for you. There are other exfoliation options for your feet such as a Pedicure Rasp or a simple foot scrub.

How to Use a Pumice Stone

Before you use your exfoliant, you will want to soak your feet. That will help soften those callouses which will make it easier to sand away the roughness with an exfoliation device. Soaking your feet is very simple. Use a tub that you can fit both feet in. You might have one around the house, or you could try a foot spa if you don’t mind spending a little extra. No matter what you use, fill it with hot water. Then you can add one cup of apple cider vinegar or a half a cup of Epsom salts and soak your feet for around 30-60 minutes. At least until your callouses feel softer. Then you can use the pumice stone to exfoliate by rubbing it on the rough parts of your feet in a gentle circular motion. Just until you can feel the roughness disappearing!

The Best Overnight Moisturizers for Your Feet

Most people want to best lotion for soft feet. People want something that will cure their calloused feet and dry skin on toes instantly. They overthink the whole process and buy expensive products. That’s great and all if you find something that will work for you, but there are a few simple products I would recommend first and foremost. You will be pleasantly surprised because you may already have them in your home.

Vaseline

Now, I don’t know what it is about vaseline or any product made out of petroleum jelly. But I can’t stand them. Unfortunately, they are the absolute best products to use for dry skin on any area of your body. Many lotions are thin and watery and are made to soak into your skin quickly. They also usually contain alcohol, which dries out your skin even more. But Vaseline is the perfect product to coat your feet with before bed.

It is thick and messy, so you will need to wrap your feet with saran wrap and socks before bed. Petroleum jelly won’t soak in quickly, but it is deeply moisturizing and the best product to use for soft feet overnight! It is also the perfect cracked heel treatment because it does not contain alcohol so it will not burn.

Cocoa Butter Foot Magic

Here we have another extremely affordable product that will do wonders for your feet. You could also use regular Cocoa Butter if you like it more. The foot cream includes peppermint oil and mango butter, so it will be as soothing as it is moisturizing. But I’m a huge fan of the original smell so I might be a little pickier. I would also recommend applying this as a dry feet remedy for your rough feet.

Aloe Vera

If you are looking for a completely natural product to use on your skin, aloe vera is the perfect option. There are various uses for aloe vera when it comes to your hair and skin. It is deeply moisturizing, and you could also apply it to your feet in a thick layer before bed. Aloe is an excellent remedy for cracked skin on feet. It will work to soften the hard skin on feet, primarily if you use it consistently every night and exfoliate a few times a week.

DIY Foot Masks for Soft Feet

I have only ever tried store-bought foot masks. They soften your feet for a little while, but it can get expensive to buy them all the time. I have always been a big fan of DIY face masks because they are easy to whip together at any time. So I like the idea of getting soft feet with a DIY mask. Plus, they are so simple and will help you get rid of callouses.

The Newest Foot Trend: Foot Peel Masks for Baby Soft Feet

My husband and I got foot peels, or so I thought. As it turned out, I gave him the foot peel mask, and I used a moisturizing rose petal mask. Sure enough, his feet started to peel within a few days. Before that, I had never seen them work in person. I believe that you will need to use foot peel masks a few times before you will get rid of all the dead or rough skin. My husband’s feet were very rough, and they were not completely soft after all the skin had peeled. But after a few treatments, they would have been considerably softer.

One of the best-reviewed foot masks is the Baby Foot Exfoliant Foot Mask. It is one of the soft feet remedies that is supposed to give you baby soft feet once your skin peels. Most customers said they had soft beautiful feet afterward and were very happy with the experience. My husband used the peppermint foot peel included in the Scuddles foot mask and collagen face mask bundle.

Conclusion

If you are looking to get soft, baby smooth feet, I would recommend pairing a few of these soft feet remedies together. The key to soft feet is to exfoliate and moisturize. Any other the moisturizing methods will work wonders. Consistency is crucial when it comes to getting rid of dry skin on any area of your body. I struggle with dry skin on my face during the winter. The only way I can treat it is by using a deeply moisturizing cream on a daily basis. The same goes for your feet.

If you haven’t been doing anything so far your feet may be severely dehydrated. So the hydrating masks, DIY masks or moisturizers are your best bets. After your feet are rehydrated and soft again, you could try a foot peel mask to help get rid of the top layer of dead skin. Either way, if you keep up with different kinds of treatments, you will be on your way to baby soft feet in no time at all! Considering winter is right around the corner, it might be time to start now!
