I have been reading about Conair’s Infiniti Pro Curling Wand and am seriously considering getting this as another tool in my small collection! It would be a new size to try out but with a similar setup as my old Remington!

For a long time now, I have only been using a curling wand. I thought over time I would want something different. But I have been really happy with what I have.

The only issue is that I don’t have any other options to experiment with. I love how easy it is to use wands and love the look they create.

But since it has been quite some time since I got my wand I know the inevitable end is nearing. Someday my wand will die an honorable death…and I’m going to be totally lost!

It seems like that day is coming soon since the wand glitches on occasion. That could also be because my sister got it wet…Although this seems to affect the LED display, not the performance.

When it does finally bite the dust, I’m going to need to go shopping ASAP. That is when I’m going to have to ask myself that fateful question: do I get the same one? Or do I widen my horizons?

I personally think that since I definitely want to experiment with some different looks, it might be high time to look into other options even sooner.

Most importantly I want a wand that is similar enough to my old wand, with all my favorite features. But additional features would make my favorite type of wand even better! I want to look into some different sized wands that are well loved too! Then I could try just about any look!

So considering all of this, I want to check out a new curling wand that peaked my interest!

You see, my current wand is very big. It is tapered from 1-1 ½”. By any means this is probably the largest one I’ve seen anyone use.

Most other people prefer the larger end to start at about a 1” that tapers down at the tip to a ½”.

It’s understandable, because this is a much better size for a variety of hair lengths.

Mine it a bit of a struggle to use when my hair is short.

Although I never cut it super short because it is just too thick. So anyway!

Things to Consider When Trying Infiniti Pro Curling Wand

I know that everyone has their opinions on the best features or aspects of their hair styling tools. I know I have my own reservations on what I want to see when I’m working with a new product. But I wanted to lay out some of the best features about this particular wand!

Technology:

This item has a great setup. Although this might just be because I’m used to working with wands and I’m very comfortable with them.

  • It has a 1” barrel that tapers down to a ½”.
  • It is made with ceramic tourmaline that smooths your hair as it curls.
  • This negative ion technology with help combat frizz and static, while also promoting shine!
  • It has 5 adjustable heat settings from 310°F-400°F.

Efficiency:

  • It heats up in a quick 30 seconds and I believe its auto shut off is in 30 minutes.
  • This allows you to get those beautiful spirals as fast as possible!
  • It is also very easy to curl your entire head quickly.

But this will only come with practice and when you have a good technique down.

Type of Hair:

This is supposed to be good for any type of hair. I don’t know if I totally agree.

I think it is really best for mid-range types of hair, moderately thin, normal and thick.

If you have really thick hair these curls might not hold as well since it only heats up to 400°F and a lot of people with thick hair prefer even hotter tools.

I think more importantly, the lowest temperature is only 310°F. This may be too high of a temperature for really thin or fine hair.

That is of course just an observation, you know your hair better than anyone. But I do think it’s an important thing to keep in mind.

Multiple Hair Benefits:

Ceramic tourmaline hair styling products are the new rage.

They have negative ion technology that will help smooth and shine your hair.

It damages your hair less and ensure that there will be less frizz and static.

This all comes together for a better, sleeker and more controlled look. Which I love!

Curling Process:

You do not use a curling wand like this in the same way as you would a curling iron.

There is no clip, so you will have to use your hands to wrap your hair around the barrel.

The use of a heat protectant glove is a great tool to ensure you won’t burn your fingers in the process by accident.

Although you might want to get a different glove than the one they provide with the wand. It is said to be a 3 finger glove and that only one side is heat resistant.

That means that you won’t be able to wear it on either hand, just the left hand.

I would also recommend always using a heat protectant spray or product of some sort, and only holding the iron on your hair for around 8-10 seconds at the most!

Design Flaw:

As I have complained before with other products, the buttons are right on the handle.

Many have complained that this makes it really easy to press by accident.

There is no great way to avoid this. It isn’t impossible to get used to though, I know since my favorite curling iron has the same issue. I got used to it pretty quickly!

Who Should Buy This Product

If you like tighter curls or loose waves, this could be the best wand for you. It obviously isn’t as large as some, but this is a really popular size and most hair types can use it to get really nice curls!

It is also, in my opinion, a really great starting wand. It is so affordable and the cool tip will give you better control without burning your fingers or scalp.

So if you’re willing to practice with it, you could get a great technique down and this has the potential of being one of your favorite wands!

Who Shouldn’t Buy This Product

This isn’t the tool you want unless you really like the look of a curling wand. It is much more difficult to get the same type of curls you would get with an iron, since wands do not have a clamp.

I also don’t know if you would like this so much if you have really long hair.

It does not have a very long barrel and it might be difficult to get all of your hair around the barrel without it slipping down.

Using a tapered barrel also takes some getting used to.

In the beginning you might have to do more than one pass on a single section.

These are all problems that can be worked out with some practice, but I just wanted to point it out because it was one reoccurring complaint I saw!

Infiniti Pro Curling Wand Details

The Infiniti Pro Curling Wand is made by Conair.

It is 1 inch at the base and tapers down to a ½ inch at the tip.

It has a nice sized cool tip for extra control.

It also has 5 temperature settings that range from 310°F-400°F.

So keep in mind that it doesn’t have a huge temperature range, in case you have very delicate hair.

It is also made with ceramic tourmaline materials and that is a huge benefit.

The negative ion technology is all the rage right now and makes your curls look and feel so much better.

They are smoother, shinier and hold less static than a normal metal curling iron.

It is also said to be super efficient and heats up in a mere 30 seconds! Talk about quick!

But it also is said to have an auto shut off function that will shut the wand off in 30 minutes.

This might not be enough time for some people to do all of their hair, and may be an inconvenience.

But it is nonetheless an important feature because you don’t have to worry about whether you left the tool plugged in when you leave the house!

Pros

  • Creates lasting curls
  • Made with a ceramic tourmaline barrel
  • Auto shut off feature

Cons

  • Cheap quality
  • Inconveniently placed buttons
  • Glove that comes with it is terrible
  • No dual voltage

Features and Benefits

For me, it has always been really important to know what I’m buying inside and out. This is not an expensive product at all, so I pretty much don’t see that much sense in passing it up!

Especially if you are new to curling wands. But I still wanted to give you a rundown of individual perks to this product!

    • The Infiniti Pro has a tapered barrel from ½ inch to 1 inch.
    • It is made with ceramic tourmaline which will help reduce static and frizz that is normally caused by metal curling irons. It will also give you sleeker and shinier curls as a result.
    • It has no clip, which is why I personally like curling wands. I like them because there is less of a chance of making kinks by accident.
    • It heats up in a quick 30 seconds.
    • It has 5 adjustable temperature settings. Its lowest setting is 310°F and the highest 400°F. I love temperature settings, but this really isn’t a very wide range. I do not think that this makes it good for thin or fine hair. It also may not get hot enough to hold curls in very thick hair. I have reasonably thick hair and I would still use it.
  • Pretty easy to use with a little practice. I would say this is good for beginners.
  • The auto shut off is a great feature that will put your mind at ease if you tend to be a bit forgetful. I always unplug my tools right away, but I still love this feature.
  • Would make a great gift for a young girl just getting into hair tools! Especially since it is cute and pink!
  • It is best for medium length and long hair. As long as you can wrap your hair around the barrel twice it will do the job! If you have very long hair you might not like this wand though. The tapered barrel may make it difficult to wrap all of your hair around it without your hair slipping down the barrel.

Conclusion

In the end, this is a fantastic curling wand. It is really easy to use and a lot of people like it.

The fact that it is tapered is certainly something you will have to get used to if you have never used that type of wand before. I personally started out with a really big tapered wand and it never was a big issue for me.

I like the natural curls you can get with it and although this one is smaller than mine, I actually am seriously considering getting this for myself.

I like the curls it creates. I’m comfortable with the layout of the product and it is so simple and easy to use. It also can be used on most types of hair.

Throughout this review I have mentioned that you may not want this for really thin and delicate hair. But I think that you can actually use it, you will just have to be more careful.

It is important to remember to use heat protectant with any hot beauty tool!

But I think the key if you have thin or delicate hair is to make sure you don’t hold this on your hair as long.

There was one beauty vlogger that actually just held it on her hair for a short 3 seconds.

The effect was great and she looked like she had very thin hair. She also used the wand all the time without any damage.

So if you are looking for a great way to get large tight spirals or loose beachy waves, this could be a great wand for you. You can find the Infiniti Pro Ceramic Curling Iron on Amazon!
