What’s the Best Way to Remove Blackheads? Find Out How Easy It Is

December 14, 2016 by Jennifer Scott

Blackheads are annoying and unpleasant to have. Although they are not that visible, you still know they’re there. Moreover, you feel your face is not completely clean. These issues happen when your pores are clogged with sebum and dead skin cells. Unlike whiteheads, which occur when your pores are too opened, blackheads appear while pores are closed. So, which is the best way to remove blackheads? Here are some useful ideas and tips to try.

The Best Way to Remove Blackheads – Main Tips

a jar or honey and a glass of milk

3. Egg White Mask

Egg whites work great on closed pores. They represent one of the simplest and best ways to remove blackheads. You will need one egg white, a small bowl, facial tissue, and a clean towel, for this treatment’s application. Separate the yolk from the egg white. Wash your face to clean it up, then gently pat dry it. Use a brush to spread the white on your face. Apply a thin facial tissue on your mask. Once the first layer of egg white dries, you can apply another one, on top of the facial tissue. Wait for a couple of minutes, then clean your face with lukewarm water. This mask will tighten your pores, preventing future blackheads.

2. Honey & Milk Strips

Both milk and honey have great benefits for your complexion. Honey has antibacterial properties while milk keeps your skin soft and supple. Combined, these two ingredients work as an adhesive. For this homemade remedy, you will need one teaspoon of milk, one tablespoon of raw honey, and a clean cotton strip. Mix the two main elements together, and heat the combination in the microwave, no more than 5 or 10 minutes. When it reaches a cooler temperature, apply it all over your blackheads, using a thin layer. Use the cotton strip to pat the excess mix and let the whole thing dry. Rinse your face with cold water, and don’t forget to use a moisturizing cream.

1. Honey & Cinnamon

Most people might say this is the best way to remove blackheads, and they wouldn’t be far from the truth. This remedy sounds delicious, right? Well, it is also effective and it will get you rid of blackheads. Like I previously mentioned, honey has great antibacterial effects, which can even help you fight against acne. Cinnamon improves your blood circulation, which leads to a healthier and smoother skin. Combine cinnamon powder with organic raw honey and don’t forget to use a clean cotton strip. Apply the paste on your affected areas and press the strip on it. Wait for about five minutes before rinsing with water.

Best Way to Remove Blackheads – Cosmetic Procedures

  • Enzymatic exfoliator. You should use an enzymatic exfoliator at least two times per week. Masks that contain charcoal, papaya, clay, or pineapple extract work great on removing blackheads.
  • Micro-needling treatment. This cosmetic procedure uses non-ablative lasers or microsecond lasers which heat your skin’s under-surface without producing damages to its top layer.
  • Acne medicine. Prescription anti-acne medication can prevent excessive sebum production which clears your pores. However, you should consult a doctor before taking any pills.

Let’s Recap

Each one of the above remedies can be your best way to remove blackheads. It all depends on your skin type and on the way it reacts when a certain combination is applied on it. You should try several options until you find the one that matches your needs perfectly. Share with us how these remedies work for you!
