Most of the time, doing your makeup the way you want it to can take up to an hour. Sadly, we don’t usually have that extra hour to create intricate makeup looks. This is why some quick makeup tips for when you are in a rush are extremely helpful. The problem is that by rushing to do your makeup, you usually end up doing a lot of mistakes which, naturally, need repairing. And time passes anyway. The irony of life!
And seeing how nobody wants to leave their house looking like they forgot they have two eyes, it’s important to learn how to apply some clever tricks to prevent this from happening. In time, you will become an expert at doing your makeup in a rush by either skipping some steps or doing different techniques that take a lot less time. So, because we also want you to leave your house peacefully and without any smudges on your face, we have prepared a list of some very clever and quick makeup tips for when you’re in a rush. Enjoy!

1. Always start with the eyes!
This is a tip that also works for when you are not in a rush. By applying the eyeshadow, mascara, and liner first, you will be able to touch your face as much as you want without worrying about ruining your foundation. If there’s fallout from the shadows, simply take a large brush and wipe it away. You can also create a perfect winged shape by taking a makeup remover wipe and clearing the rest of your skin so that the desired shape is formed. Also, Q-tips are the Holy Grail of makeup in a rush. Keep some close to remove any unwanted mascara or eyeliner mistakes.
2. Eyeshadow as eyeliner
When you don’t have the time to apply the perfect eyeliner you can simply use eyeshadow. Take a dark color with a slightly wet brow brush. This will make it glide smoothly and will look like you have eyeliner on. It’s a great replacement for eye pencil too, especially when you’re in a rush. One of the keys to doing your makeup quickly is to use as few products as possible for many purposes.

3. Only use concealer
Sometimes, you can be so late that you only have time to apply one single product. Well, if you find yourself in this situation (we hope you don’t), simply choose the concealer. Apply it to your problem areas like dark circles, spots, or blemishes. It will even out your skin tone without looking like you have makeup on. Honestly, you should prefer wearing almost no makeup that looks decent than wearing horribly-applied makeup. Fix the concealer with a translucent powder, but only if you have the time. We don’t recommend skipping the lips because you will look weird, especially if you’ve put concealer on them. A hydrating balm is what you need in this case, and you’re good to go.
