Draw Inspiration from These 3 of the Best Oscars 2018 Beauty Looks

March 14, 2018 by Jennifer Scott

This year’s Academy Awards came and went but something very important remains: some amazing beauty looks. Like any other year, the 2018 Oscars didn’t miss an opportunity to provide beauty lovers with some inspiration. More precisely, make-up artists did everything they could to showcase their art on some of the most famous faces in the world. This year, there were a lot of unexpected combinations on the red carpet, from interesting head pieces to bold lips and glittery makeup. And because we know how difficult it is to follow all of these trends, we have decided to show you three of the most amazing Oscars 2018 beauty looks.

From former Academy Award-winner Emma Stone to Dame Hellen Mirren and newcomers like Zendaya Coleman, they were all impressive and deserved an award for their looks alone. However, only three actresses made our list because they brought something fresh to the game or reinvented classic looks. Prepare to take notes and maybe even try some of these looks at home. Here we go!

1.      Emma Watson

Emma Watson has decided to rock that micro fringe once again and she took a very inspired decision. It looked amazing on her, especially with that tousled texture. When it comes to makeup however, she wore a look that almost everyone can replicate at home. Brown shades dominated her look, as this color was present on her eyelids and it matched her brown eyes perfectly. Elegant lashes and a line of feline eyeliner completed her simple yet stylish look. Her face was left almost bare, with a natural lip. You can get away with this by only wearing a hydrating lip balm. Emma’s makeup was very simple yet very effective because all of the attention needed to be on her hair.

2.      Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence’s makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, has revealed some of his secrets and explained that he decided to defy the classic only the eyes or only the lips rule. He opted for a winged, brown smoky eye which accentuated Jennifer’s beautiful blue eyes. As for the lipstick, he applied a bright orange color which worked amazingly well in that combination. He kept the rest of her face simple, with minimal makeup. The hair was once again the center of attention as it was styled in flowy waves, inspired by Carrie Bradshaw.

3.      Lupita Nyong’o

Actress Lupita Nyong’o never fails to impress us when it comes to both her acting skills and her beauty looks. A true inspiration for all women out there, Lupita’s Oscars 2018 hairstyle was inspired by the Amasunzu hairstyles of Rwanda. This was probably a nod to the African character she plays in the recently-released Black Panther movie from Marvel. As for her makeup, she had a sparkly blue eyeliner to accentuate her eyes, paired with a lighter brown color above. Her glossy lips completed her beauty look perfectly and also matched with her gown.
