Makeup industry has evolved greatly over the time. Learning the skill and art of highlighting and contouring face features has become really tricky because the standards of makeup perfection are very high. Not everyone is as good at applying makeup as those beautiful YouTube divas we see, so I’m here to explain to you a few tips that will hopefully change your life for good and step up your makeup game. Let’s start with the list:
-
Correcting Color Techniques
The color correcting techniques play a huge role in the way you handle region around your eyes. Sometimes the dark circles can be horribly obvious and very difficult to get rid off. And you cannot even assume a plain concealer can help you even them out because it looks very white on top of the very dark skin. This is where the tactic of color correcting comes in handy. Naturally, your dark circles if too dark will have a tinge of blue to them. So, before you’ve applied the concealer, apply some red lipstick under your eye to counter the blue. This will help even out the dark circles very effectively.

Applying The Mascara
Mascara application has been a huge discussion in beauty forums. I say what works best for you, is the tactic you need but there are a few general rules and exceptions to that too. By wiggling the mascara back and forth just a little while applying mascara on upper lashes, you can achieve a fuller look. This ensures the product doesn’t get clogged up anywhere in the lashes as well. When applying mascara on your lower lashes hold the wand vertically and apply the mascara. Another tip that you can try with mascaras is by combining the right formula with the right wand and achieve the perfect look you desire. Strong Brow Game
There are a couple of things that you need to keep in mind to get the best brows you’ve ever had. First, you need to grow them! Excessive shaping thins the brows down and you don’t want to have to draw them out a lot thicker than they actually are. To have healthier brows, keep a clean mascara wand and castor oil bottle in your bathroom and apply castor oil on your lashes and brows before sleeping every night. The effect is magical. Get a good brow pencil and draw a line underneath your eyebrows, after that simply smudge it out until you get your desired thickness and shape. Doing brows has never been more fun, right?
-
Applying the Foundation
Applying foundation correctly has a large impact on the way you finally appear. Always moisturize your skin before you begin with the makeup. Never forget to wear a primer as it plays a great role in achieving that flawless look. And use your fingertips to dab the foundation in your skin instead of using brushes. Although makeup artists have conflicting opinions on this, I believe using fingers is more handy and it gives you a lot of control regarding the application of makeup.

Perfect Lips
In order to get those perfect lips, you first need to prepare them for lipstick. So if your lips are flaky, wet and scrub them a bit with your toothbrush. After that, apply a primer before you wear your lipstick. To make your lips look plumper and more perfect try a Lip Plumper. I’m absolutely in love with these new products; you can use them without any lipstick as well if you want to create a more natural look. If you are applying lipstick without a lip liner, draw a cross between your lips, it serves as a nice indicator of how and where you would apply the lipstick.

Bake It!
And I’m not even kidding. This is a new term and technique in the makeup world. In order to bake it, you apply your concealer with a lot of translucent powder wherever you normally do and you let it set-in the skin. You allow your body’s heat to melt the product so that it adheres to the skin for a creaseless effect altogether. Before you do that, don’t forget to wear your primer and a pore minimizer. While you’re waiting for the product to set in the skin, you can apply your eyeliner and eyeshadow. For the best eyeliner tips check out our ultimate guide to eyeliner. After ten minutes, take a blush brush and very lightly dust off the excess translucent powder from under your eyes. After that, you contour regularly, swipe some translucent powder on your face afterward and spritz some makeup setting spray.
I am certain these makeup tips will revolutionize your finished look, I hope this helps. Have a great day!
