The latest Instagram craze, the opal hair trend, can be called the lovechild of the gray hair trend and the rainbow one. The opal hair trend
Aura says that the first thing she does when creating the opal hair is lighten it until it reaches a pearl hue. However, the hair should not be gray! After applying a toner, she then proceeds to apply the numerous layers of color. It’s all about subtlety in nuances, Aura says. The opal hair will never stand out because of its brightness, but instead, it will stand out because of it subtlety and delicate beauty.
All those different colors need to intertwine with each other perfectly, in order to create that special look. The colors starting from the roots to the ends are all different. So, no matter how you look at it, you will see a different color every time. Tilt your head to the left and you might see a little bit more of the color pink. Tilt it to the right and there’s a lot of purple. Then there’s green, and blue and so on and so forth.
It’s important to note that there are a lot of different variations to this trend, but the idea is the same. There are styles that have more pink, or more white. You can also leave your roots alone or paint them in a bright color. You can also have darker nuances in your hair, and it will still look amazing.
