Don’t eat late at night!
Another simple but difficult to follow rule is, according to Elaine Magee, MPH, RD, to avoid eating at night. You will need to simply establish an hour to stop eating. If you cannot bear it and need to snack on something, choose a bowl of light ice cream or yoghurt. Also, you should be careful to brush your teeth afterwards. This way you will stop the urge to eat something else during that night.
Eat smaller portions!
It sounds simple, yet it’s not. Studies are telling us that by simply reducing your portions by 10 to 20% most people will lose weight. Usually, restaurants serve much bigger portions than you need to eat. The same thing happens at home. Start by using small bowls, plates and cups. Also, use measuring cups if you want to make sure how much exactly you’re eating. The pounds will fly away and never return again!
