Alison has hair skills to die for and is one of the best people out there that you can look up for inspiration. Moreover, over the past month, she has been experimenting with these incredible plaited rose hairstyles, and her likes and admiration just exploded. Her creations are now a phenomenon, and their popularity is increasing every day. This is why we have decided to show you some of her creations and offer you some tips that come straight from the creator herself. Enjoy!
The plaited rose hairstyles
Don’t worry! Before you start thinking that you could never create such an intricate hairstyle with your own hands, we want to reassure you that, according to Alison, they are not that difficult to make. Because everyone became so obsessed with her creations, Alison decided one day to offer some tips on how people can re-create these plaited rose hairstyles at home, without much effort at all.
How to do it
Alison Valsamis says that the first step is to create a small, three-strand braid, and to roll it up. That will be the center and the base of your flower. Then, the trick is to alternate between different types of braids. You can do a fishtail braid and then continue with a Dutch braid. They need to be pulled apart in order to create that volume and depth. That large petal look of a rose in bloom is created with a Dutch three-strand braid positioned on the outer side of the flower.
If that explanation from the creator herself was not enough to convince you that this hairstyle is easy to make at home, maybe some of Alison’s creations will. She shares them almost daily on her Instagram page, and they are gorgeous. Look through them for some extra inspiration, and maybe you will gather the courage to do it yourself one day. You want to spice up your hair for the summer, don’t you?
