3 Homemade Face Washes that Are Simple to Make and Easy on the Skin

May 3, 2018 by Jennifer Scott

Everyone knows (or should know) that the first step towards taking good care of your skin is cleansing. Your skin needs to be protected and cleaned of bacteria, dust, perspiration, or anything else that might be sticking to it during the day. The key is to offer it a good cleansing because without it, these impurities can clog the pores and you will end up with numerous skin issues. There are many types of face washes out there that you can try, but many people know that you can make equally effective face washes at home. This is why we have prepared a list of homemade face washes that are not only simple to make, but also easy on your skin.

It’s important to know that homemade face washes are very gentle on your skin, do not cause irritations, or any other side effects, and are really inexpensive. You can choose the recipe that suits your skin best and start looking through your kitchen for the ingredients you need. Most people already have them in their homes. So, here are some of the most effective and easy to make homemade face washes. Enjoy!

1.      Cream and Apple Face Wash

This homemade face wash is excellent for dry skin. To make it, you simply need to boil an apple and mash it with a fork. Then, add 1 teaspoon of cream, one of lemon or orange juice, and finally, one of olive oil. All these ingredients should then be mixed until they look like a smooth paste. Apply it to your face, neck, and forehead and leave it on for about 5 minutes. Finally, rinse it off with lukewarm water. Your skin will become hydrated and very clean at the same time.

2.      Milk and Honey Face Wash

This combination is especially amazing for people who struggle with oily skin or acne. The secret is to mix 1 teaspoon of honey with 2 teaspoons of raw milk. The result will be a smooth lotion that you need to apply on your face evenly. After applying it, you will need to gently massage your skin for about 3 minutes. Finally, rinse the lotion off with lukewarm water. The secret is that this solution removes the oil from your face and brightens your skin. It also works great for people with sensitive skin because it’s so gentle and effective.

3.      Tomato Face Wash

For combination skin, there is another homemade face wash that you can try and make. Extract the pulp of a tomato, about 2 teaspoons, and mix it with 1 teaspoon of milk and 1 teaspoon of lemon or orange juice. Then, you will need to apply this homemade cleanser on your face and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Finally, rinse it off with cool water. It works great, and the best thing is that you can also store it for future use and it will still work amazingly well.
